How It Works
Once we have had our Discovery Call and we have decided that we could work well together, I will send you a health and lifestyle questionnaire to complete. You will then have your initial consultation, which lasts about 90 minutes. After this session, I will send you your first personalised coaching plan that details specific goals and the steps to achieve them, that we have agreed together.
Follow up sessions then take place every two weeks. In these sessions we celebrate successes and address any barriers you have encountered. Your coaching plan will then be updated as you make progress towards your goals.
All sessions are held remotely via video call. I have clients across the UK and can also work worldwide.
Here is more detail of how the process works:
1. Initial Consultation
Once you have returned your documents, we begin with an initial consultation lasting around 90 minutes, which will be conducted via video call (as are all appointments). During this session, I will get to know you by delving into your current and historical health, lifestyle, eating habits, support networks, challenges, and goals.
What to Expect:
A comprehensive discussion about your health history, habits, and lifestyle.
Exploration of your long-term and short-term wellness goals.
Assessment of your readiness for change and any barriers you may face.
2. Goal Setting
At the end of this initial 90 minute consultation, we will work together to set realistic and actionable health goals. These goals will be tailored to your unique needs, whether it's improving your nutrition, increasing physical activity, managing stress, or enhancing overall well-being.
What to Expect:
Establishing Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) goals.
Prioritising which goals to focus on first based on your needs and desires.
Developing a coaching plan to make gradual, sustainable changes.
3. Personalised Coaching Plan
After your initial consultation and setting your goals, I will create a personalised coaching plan for you. This plan will outline specific strategies and steps to help you achieve your goals. It may include recommendations and information on diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, and other lifestyle factors that impact your overall health.
What to Expect:
A simple plan that outlines the goals we have identified.
Specific actions that we have agreed together in order to achieve these goals. These actions will be specific and measurable and most importantly, will be realistic, ensuring that they fit with your life.
Articles, recipe ideas, links and other information that help you achieve these actions.
4. Regular Coaching Sessions
In order to help you achieve your goals we need to work together over a period of time, allowing new habits to be introduced and established. Usually, sessions are fortnightly and in these sessions we check-in, discuss progress, challenges, and adjustments. These sessions also provide accountability and support, helping you stay on track and adapt your plan as needed.
What to Expect:
Ongoing guidance and motivation.
Adjustments to your plan based on progress and any setbacks.
Problem-solving strategies to overcome obstacles.
Emotional support to keep you focused and motivated.
5. Accountability and Support
One of the key benefits of health coaching is having a partner to hold you accountable. I will monitor your progress, celebrate your successes, and help you address any difficulties. I provide a non-judgemental space where you can openly discuss your challenges and triumphs.
What to Expect:
Follow-ups via email between sessions.
Continuous encouragement and feedback.
A safe and supportive environment to explore personal barriers and emotions.
6. Habit Formation and Behaviour Change
Health coaching focuses on creating sustainable, long-term changes rather than quick fixes. I will help you break old habits and form new ones by providing practical tools and techniques.
What to Expect:
Techniques for building healthy habits that last.
Identifying and addressing triggers that lead to unhealthy behaviours.
Guidance on making small, consistent changes that add up over time.
7. Celebrating Success and Reflecting on Growth
As you progress, I will help you recognise your achievements and reflect on your growth. This positive reinforcement builds momentum and confidence, making it easier to continue on your wellbeing journey independently.
What to Expect:
Acknowledgment of your hard work and accomplishments.
Reflection on how far you’ve come and the positive changes you’ve made.
Encouragement to maintain or evolve your goals as you reach new levels of health.
8. Encouragement to maintain or evolve your goals as you reach new levels of health
Depending on your needs, health coaching can be a short-term or long-term process. Some individuals may choose to continue with regular sessions for ongoing support, while others may transition to self-management once they feel confident in maintaining their new habits.
What to Expect:
The option to continue working together on a longer term basis once you have completed your initial package.
Resources and strategies to maintain your progress on your own.
